Counseling Center “Alternative” was created in St. Petersburg with the support of Crisis Center for women. The center is unique. There are no such centers in St. Petersburg, which work only with people who commit domestic violence and want it to stop. There are many women’s centers – but not men’s. Center specialists are engaged in individual counseling and psychotherapy with men, which have a tendency to various types of violence and want to change their future.

It is important to note that you should not consider our work as a “magic pill” to all family problems, it is a labor-consuming and long-term work for both consultants and appearers. The main thing is to take the first step and to become interested in solving personal problems, and we offer one of the possible ways out of the current difficult family situation.

Tasks

The specialists’ task is to identify the fact of violence, the responsibility for the violence, revealing the motives which lead to violence and revealing understanding of the violence consequences for the partner.

Results

After completing the program the man is able to choose his actions with a clear understanding of what he is doing. You will get a professional look at your real-life situation, will be able to understand the causes of the incident, will receive the professional and human support.
